Blue Ceiling dance presents Animal Vegetable Mineral
April 20 - April 22
Listed by The Toronto Star as one of the 150 ways to celebrate Canada 150 in 2017, Animal Vegetable Mineral is an ensemble dance work in which the dancers’ bodies are ecosystems built on the sensory experiences of organisms: animal, vegetable and mineral. These embodied ecosystems interact and collide, highlighting the interdependence of all life on earth during a breakdown. The case includes some of Toronto’s most compelling contemporary dancers.
U of T alumna Lucy Rupert is the Artistic Director behind the contemporary dance show, produced and presented by Blue Ceiling dance in partnership with the High Park Nature Centre. The show premieres on April 20 and runs until April 22nd, 2017.
Pre-show Hike: 7-7:45 p.m. ($5)
